Career Exploration – Power Point – Introduction to Power Point

Safety in the Studio – Power Point

Project – “Mini Movie 1” – 1-2 minute video of your choice demonstrating the three phases of production and basic camera operation – Introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0

Product Labeling – Introduction to Photoshop CS2

Comparing/Contrasting Different Types of Media – Power Point 

Project – “Pushups/UFO” – two videos to demonstrate video time and space

2^nd Six Weeks

Project – Working on Camera Angles/Composition

Ethics in Today’s Media – Power Point

Project – Commercial – Producing a commercial about a fictional product or service – Target Audience – 30 second video and 15 second audio version (Radio)

3^rd Six Weeks

Copyright Laws/Fair Use – Power Point

Project – Music Video – Two minute music video using the fair use/copyright laws.

Project – Newscast – a three minute newscast with a factual lead story, weather, sports, and commercial break. You will use your commercial project as your commercial. Lead story must also be written for website and include a picture.

Project – Newsletter – Classroom Project – Each class will produce its own classroom newsletter. Each “newspaper” will cover each of the following areas: news story with quotes documented, weather (an original graphic), sports, advertising of a school event, tips for the student, and an opinion poll with graphic.

Project – “Mini Movie 2” – Produce a 3-5 minutes video of your choice. You must show all three phases of production.
